The package arrived yesterday and I installed the Svetlana 6P1P-EV tubes this morning. I immediately noticed a significant sound difference from the Chinese stock tubes. However, I let them play background music for four hours before doing any critical listening.
Now I can vouch in a word that the sound is glorious. This is by far the best improvement I have ever had in any sound system which I ever owned. It is like a veil has been lifted and what was very good sound is now exceptional sound.
The only downside is that while good recordings are amazing, mediocre recordings now reveal obvious flaws as the tubes are not very forgiving and detect everything, good or bad.
Summing up, this is the best investment (less than $200) I have ever made, regardless of price, in a sound system.
