9 Pin to Octal Adapter

Description

Designed to adapt 9 pin dual triode tubes using the 9A, 9AJ, 9DE pin arrangements to an Octal base with 8B pin arrangements.

Commonly adaptable tubes include:

12AU7 > 12SN7

12AT7 > 12SL7

6CG7 > 6SN7

6GU7 > 6SN7

Can be used with the Schiit Freya + to convert it into the Schiit Freya N (Noval). The Noval was a short lived cousin of the Freya + that used the same circuit, but used 9 pin sockets and could play a variety of tubes. Including the 6GU7, 6CG7, 6N1P, 6BZ7, 6DJ8, 6N6P, 6N23P.

Note: Many 9 pin dual triode tubes use pin 9 as  either a heater center tap, or as a ground shield between sections. Pin 9 remains disconnected with this adapter.
